New Viewing Guide Available Online -- It's a Wonderful Life
We've just posted a new viewing guide that was shared with us by veteran Career Choices teacher and trainer Phyllis Stewart. The viewing
guide is for the Frank Capra classic It's a Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.
While many regard this movie as a holiday tearjerker about the rewards of helping others, it also takes a close
look at several topics discussed in Career Choices: passions, envisioning the future, and sacrifices (financial,
emotional, and physical).
George Bailey, the film's main character, has sacrificed his dreams in order to uphold commitments to his family and community.
This movie was made immediately following World War II, which came on the heels of the Great Depression. These two
unforeseen world events disrupted millions of lives, many in ways similar to what George Bailey experiences.
