Evaluation and Assessment
A rigorous five-year study has been proposed. The study would measure and compare students within the study cohort to demonstrate the program’s level of effectiveness and would be conducted by the UC Educational Evaluation Center, Gevirtz Graduate School of Education, University of California, Santa Barbara.
Among the data that will be measured:
At the high school level:
- Attendance, suspension, expulsion, and graduation rates
- Academic achievement through GPAs and test scores
- Grade retention levels
At the College level:
- Remediation required by entering college freshmen
- Completion rates (associate degree, certification, transfer to four-year college)
- Length of time required for completion
